How did you find the perfect, functional and versatile tote bag for work?

I couldn't, So I created one!

Remembering all the only style, no substance bags that disappointed our founder that she herself had to create the right one!

Familiya’s origin dates back to when our founder Keerthana, a fashion designer, was hunting for a perfect tote bag for work. The fabulous-looking ones she found offered absolutely zero functionality and most of them created more chaos than coherence with her ethnic outfits.

The bag hunt did not serve any purpose and Keerthana couldn't find that one bag she was looking for.

But she didn't give up! 

Determined to create the perfect tote, she designed one which was functional with multiple pockets, had space to accommodate her laptop and other office essentials, was versatile with every outfit, and most importantly aesthetically uncompromising!


Keerthana’s tote garnered a lot of attention!

Her colleagues were impressed, so she made totes for them.

Her friends were amazed, she made it for them too!


Well, Keerthana didn't stop there. She put forward her functional, sustainable, and durable tote bags into a business plan along with her friends.

And just like that the idea of Familiya was born!


But the next challenge was choosing a name for the brand. After a lot of thinking, everyone happily signed on to Familiya!

What better name for a group of kindred spirits who come together as a family to put their heart together to craft the ideal tote bags? And with that, Familiya came to life! 


Familiya now offers a wide range of functional, sustainable, durable and absolutely stylish tote bags that are versatile and comfortable enough to carry around anywhere and everywhere!
